Information notice regarding video surveillance conducted by Restopolis

The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to Restopolis. This information notice is intended to inform you about the processing of video surveillance data implemented by Restopolis, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and based on the ministerial directive of April 10, 2018, addressed to the management of secondary and general secondary education institutions concerning security in school and university catering kitchen facilities. Your personal data is processed by Restopolis, located at: eduPôle, Restopolis, Route de Diekirch, L-7220 Walferdange.

The processing of personal data related to video surveillance carried out by Restopolis is necessary for the performance of Restopolis’s public interest mission (Art. 6.1(e) GDPR).

The processing of personal data is carried out for the following purposes:

  • Securing access to the building
  • Ensuring food safety
  • Protecting Restopolis and its clients from acts of vandalism, whether intentional or accidental
  • Ensuring the safety of staff and clients
  • Detecting and identifying potentially suspicious or dangerous behavior that could lead to accidents or incidents
  • Accurately identifying the origin of an incident
  • Protecting property

The collected data is not used for purposes other than those listed above.

In accordance with the GDPR, Restopolis only collects the data necessary for the purposes outlined above.

The data is processed with full confidentiality and is only accessible to duly authorized Restopolis staff as part of their duties.

 

Data is only shared with third parties when strictly necessary and in accordance with Luxembourg legislation. We are required to share your data with competent police or judicial authorities acting within the scope of a criminal investigation, or any other legal procedure if Restopolis is obligated to defend its interests in court.

The data is not transferred to any third countries and remains within the European Union.

Your data is retained for a maximum period of 30 days after recording, unless an incident, offense, or ongoing legal procedure requires otherwise.

Restopolis implements appropriate organizational and technical security measures to protect your personal data against any risk of unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • The right to information. For any questions related to the processing of your data or to exercise your rights, you can contact the data protection officer at dpo@restopolis.lu. Please note that before providing any data, we may ask you to specify which data or processing operations your request concerns.
  • The right to access your data. In this case, please contact the data protection officer at dpo@restopolis.lu.

Under the conditions set by the GDPR (in which case Restopolis will first verify that these conditions are met), you also have the following rights:

  • The right to request the erasure of your data
  • The right to request the restriction of the processing of your data
  • The right to object to the processing of your data on grounds relating to your particular situation (unless Restopolis has compelling legitimate grounds to continue the processing)
